The ultimate relaxation experience in total symbiosis with nature.
This new Nordic-style spa is a relaxation and healing centre that focuses mainly on heat therapy and relaxation techniques from Scandinavian countries. The spa will be built in Cullen Central Park in the picturesque town of Whitby.
It will offer a multisensory experience in a natural setting that will contribute to the health and well-being of its guests.
Our dry saunas, steam saunas, outdoor pools (hot, cold, and temperate), waterfalls, and multiple outdoor and indoor rest areas will allow our guests to experience the thermal cycle at any time of the year. A range of massages, body treatments, and wellness rituals will also be available to provide the ultimate relaxation experience. Our unique facilities include our notable saltwater floating pool, where wellness enthusiasts will be able to experience the extraordinary sensation of weightlessness. The spa will also have two restaurants and two distinctive sections to allow you to relax in silence or in a social atmosphere.
An event sauna that can accommodate up to 120 people will be built in the middle of the site. It will be equipped with visual and multisensory equipment to create impressive, large-scale wellness rituals. Virtual reception stations will allow guests to enter the site, book a treatment or ritual, and plan their visit at the spa by themselves.
Groupe Nordik carefully selects technology that will be used in all the facilities and systems of this new spa. The saunas, the water quality management systems, and the preferred energy sources are analyzed and tested to meet our highest quality standards and reduce the environmental footprint as much as possible. This third spa will become our point of reference when developing future sites. It is perfect harmony between nature, technology, and relaxation.
This relaxing exercise should be included into your lifestyle to improve your physical and mental health and thus contribute to your well-being.
The Thermal cycle is a thermotherapy treatment that involves alternating between hot and cold, followed by a rest period. This relaxation ritual is based on a 2,000-year-old tradition founded in Nordic countries.
To reap the maximum benefit from the treatment, we recommend following the three steps below in the following order and repeating them three times.
In addition to the many benefits of thermotherapy, Nordik Spa-Nature | Whitby will also offer a wide range of massages and body treatments to help you get the most out of your spa visit.
Whatever your needs, stressors, and expectations, our team of professionals will help you explore the multiple ways to improve your state of wellness.
Källa is a large Epsom saltwater pool carved into the rock. If you’ve ever experienced the Dead Sea, you’ll appreciate floating in Källa even more. Only the most carefully selected and balanced magnesium Epsom salts will be used. The water’s absolute purity and 12% salinity will be constantly monitored, and the pool’s filtration systems will exceed current standards.
The Källa experience will be a special treat that you can discover right here at the Whitby spa. Once you have completely let go, all the muscles in your body will relax. This is the moment when you will reach the pinnacle of relaxation. Some guests may even fall asleep in the pool. The Källa treatment encourages restorative sleep, accelerates wound healing, reduces inflammation, stimulates creativity, decreases stress, and releases tension.
Nordik Spa-Nature takes a very epicurean, authentic, and gourmet approach to the culinary arts. Enjoying a meal in your bathrobe will be an experience in and of itself. You won’t want to skip this step when you visit the spa.
The Whitby spa will have three separate restaurants, each with a unique atmosphere that will combine and enhance your relaxation and gourmet experiences. The food will be inspired by local products and seasonal flavours. Local produce will be highlighted with a focus on originality, freshness, and creativity. Each visit to the spa will have its own unique flavour. Relaxing and eating well is one of many recipes for happiness.
